Book Title: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
The book “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban” is the third book in the series, which describes the details of the parents of the young wizard and the cause of their death.
A thirteen-year-old boy remembers almost nothing about his dead relatives. His only relatives are the Dursleys Muggles, who hate magic. It turns out that Harry mistakenly considers himself lonely. His parents had loyal and reliable friends, who later sincerely fell in love with him.
The book begins with Harry Potter spending his summer vacation with the Dursleys. Life is not easy for him, and the magical attributes are locked in the pantry. Therefore, he is looking forward to the start of school in order to quickly meet his best friends – Hermione and Ron.
After another scandal, the teenager runs away from his hated relatives. On the street he is being chased by a huge black dog. Who is he? A large bus “Night Knight” emerges from the sky, rescuing Harry from the dog and taking him to witchcraft London.
On the way, Potter learns that an evil sorcerer, You-Know-Who’s close friend, Sirius Black, escaped from the strictest and most impregnable prison of Azkaban. To guard Hogwarts, the Ministry of Magic summons terrible disembodied creatures – Dementors, who suck all positive emotions out of people. A traitor has appeared at the school who is ready to open the way for the villain.
New Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, Professor Lupine, defends Harry from the Dementor’s attack and teaches the Patronus Curse.
On Christmas morning, Harry Potter receives a present – a fast broom “Lightning”, which he admired in the store Diagon Alley. Who gave the boy this expensive surprise?
Twin brothers George and Fred give Harry another priceless item – the Marauder’s Map. It depicted the passageways to the village of Hogsmeade. Because Potter does not have permission from relatives to visit the village, he goes there in secret. He learns that Sirius is his godfather. And, most importantly, it was he who killed his parents at the direction of Voldemort. Harry is eager to fight the murderer and find out everything about this dangerous criminal.
After seven consecutive years of defeats in Quidditch, Gryffindor wins the cup thanks to Potter catching the Snitch in the decisive game, and the national team defeats Ravenclaw and Slytherin.
The court sentences the hippogryph Buckbeak to death (he attacked Malfoy for insulting him at a lecture by forester Hagrid). Harry and his friends are trying to find reasons for his innocence. But all their efforts are unsuccessful.
In Rubeus’ shack, Hermione accidentally discovers Ron’s rat, Scabbard, which has long disappeared. Fleeing from the cat Zhivogloth, the rat rushes away. After running after her, all three fall into the Shrieking Hut. All secrets are revealed there! Sirius, whom Harry believed was involved in the death of his parents, is not guilty. And Remus Lupine is his friend, and, in fact, a werewolf. Then who is the killer?
The Trinity was never able to prove to everyone that Sirius was not a badass. By launching the Time-Turner (Hermione often used it during her studies), the buddies free Buckbeak, with whom Black goes underground.
Soon Harry receives a letter from the godfather, where he gives permission to visit the village of Hogsmeade and promises to see him again.
