Man Booker

It’s the premier trophy in liberal arts. It’s administered by a committee of 17 members from countries around the globe.The Man Booker is presented yearly in October to a work of fiction (often called a book), which initially undergoes a blind jury process. All 17 members of the jury remain anonymous throughout the judging process. This yearly-nominated trophy was revealed to the public by its creator, publisher, and chief sponsor – Dame Lónica McWhirter – in 2007 at London’s Guildhall.

The Man Booker is an yearly bookish trophy established in 1969 by the Booker Foundation. It is presented as the best of that year’s English language novel by an author who writes in English and resides in the Commonwealth of Nations (Great Britain, Ireland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa) or other English-speaking country. The winner receives 50K pounds and a bronze statue as part of a 12-piece statuette set entitled “The Guardians of Promise”.

Pulitzer
